Definition
OBSOLETE. Catalysis of the hydrolysis of peptide bonds with a broad specificity. Preferentially cleaves the terminal bond of -Arg-Arg-Xaa motifs in small molecule substrates (thus differing from cathepsin L). In addition to being an endopeptidase, shows peptidyl-dipeptidase activity, liberating C-terminal dipeptides. [source: EC:3.4.22.1]
